The Linux Kernel Numbers:
CIT173
Tovalds( or the Linus Dude.), started the numbering system with 0.01, 0.02 to represent month to month releases and revisions.
Since Linux, kernels have several releases and revisions they started like a 2.6.x.y system which I can add to another damn thing to confuse me. Between Linux and Cisco I think I am going to need to check myself into mental health. Seriously, All this crap is overwhelming. And to think I have been to medical school. Anyways it seems to be comparable with Windows Machine upgrades except your changes are daily, weekly or monthly you know much faster not so much yearly or centuries. I still have the impression that these Linux people are like 40 years old living in there parents basement, But I have to learn all this crap to get a piece of paper to let people know I know shit. My numbering system involves a trash can.
